Yazici, Omer; Memili, Esra; Patel, Pankaj
Many family firms hire and rely on non-family employees; therefore, the mutual benefits provided to both family and non-family members are important. Yet, the perspectives of non-family employees have been under researched. Drawing upon organizational identity and justice theories and the extant literature on family influence, this study examines non-family employees' perceived family influence, family firm identification, family firm justice, and turnover intentions in a sample of 301 family business non-family employees. Path analysis results show that non-family employees' perceived family influence can lead to family firm identification, in turn diminishing their turnover intentions. We also find that non-family employees' perceptions of family firm justice moderate the relationship between non-family employees' perceived family influence and family firm identification. We conclude by discussing implications.

Children are people’s gateway to the future; they are 30.3% of the world’s population. Childhood is a stage that has a great impact on adulthood and children being healthy individuals. For this reason, child poverty and childhood conditions are very important for individual and community life. Cities are places where people live, and more than 50% of the world’s population lives there. In the cities, whose numbers and sizes have increased over time, the crimes committed have also increased and diversified. For this reason, it has become increasingly difficult to provide urban security today. The aim of this study is to show the relationship between child poverty and urban safety, by carrying out an overview of the global perspective and examining the case of Turkey. Alacadağlı, Esmeray
: Urbanization is a process that involves change and organization and has socio-cultural consequences. Themost important of these results is the emergence of a city-specific lifestyle and culture called urbanization. However,in urban settlements that are not based on industrialization or created by political decisions, urbanization can realiseunhealthy or distorted and so urban behaviors and lifestyle cannot occur. Bayburt, which became a province in 1989,is a city that is in the process of urbanization and development. According to the "Provinces and Regions Socio Economic Development Survey", Bayburt, is in the fifth degree group of developed provinces with low agriculturalproductivity and hidden unemployment problem in the agricultural sector. Emigration is a factor that supports thelivelihood of the province. However, there is a positive development in the economic indicators per capita andmigration rates in Bayburt after becoming a province. Per capita national income increased from $ 708 in 1990 to $1019 in 1996. Between 2012 and 2013, Bayburt is now a province receiving immigration with a net immigrationrate of ‰ 1,46. In this positive development, the share of students and academicians who came to the city withBayburt University was opened in 2008, is a phenomenon that has been revealed by researches and is generallyaccepted. İncele - MakaleAçık Erişim2021The expectations of tokat sanjak from the state center at the beginning of the 20TH century: aids and credits
Aktaş, Esat
The 19th century was a period when changes were experienced and central empires gained importance. Mahmud II one of the Ottoman sultans tried to keep up with this change. The aids provided through foundations until that period were affected by these developments and were taken under the control and supervision of the administration in the person of the sultan. This became one of the means used to impersonate the sultan as the protector of his people and the father. The manifestation of this means, which is also a necessity of the social state, peaked in the period of Abdülhamid II. With the centralization of social welfare, the state aimed to mark every aspect of life in social, cultural and economic terms. Those in need were tried to be supported with unrequited aids under the name of donation, charity and the salary of the needy, and the farmers in difficult situations with the loans provided by Ziraat Bank. With the declaration of the Second Constitutional Monarchy, the social aid form was changed, and the form of viewpoint in the person of the sultan was changed, the aids made on behalf of the sultan were tried to be carried out through state institutions. These supportive policies emerged in a difficult situation in which the public was faced with a disaster or as a result of individual applications. One of the places that asked for help in order to benefit from the social welfare policy was Tokat sanjak, bound to Sivas province. While there were social institutions such as dervish lodges and schools among those who sought aid, there were ulema and sheikhs who gained respect in the society, those who were forgiven for any crime, and on the contrary, exiles, immigrants, and people who wanted their individual education to be supported. On the other hand, there were also loan demands for free or repayment to support those who fell into trouble as a result of disasters. In this study, the applications of the people of Tokat for aid and the answers given to these applications were discussed. How the state officials responded to institutional, individual or regional demands made from Tokat sanjak, to whom and at what rate they helped, and how they provided assistance were evaluated.

İncele - MakaleAçık Erişim2021Scopus SJRQ3Comparative Analysis of the Aggregation of Offences under Ottoman Criminal Law during the Modernization Period and Current Turkish Positive Law: A Case Study of Insult
Kızılay, Muhammed Emin
Under western influence, the Ottoman Empire began the practice of accumulation of legislation in its judicial system.\rThus, certain new concepts and technical issues, such as the aggregation of offences (ijtima), were coined in Ottoman\rlegal jargon. This concept, which attributes more than one crime to an individual, has similar meaning to tadahul in\rHanafi fiqh. However, there is a major difference between the two legal systems. Although the Ottoman judicial system\rgenerally tried to abide by Hanafi fiqh in its legislative activities during the Tanzimat period, it deviated from the fiqh\rsystem on some technical issues. To clearly consider this situation in practice, it is necessary to look at the court records\rof the period. Vakâyi-i Zabtiyye newspaper, which was in publication from 1286 to 1869, is an important source, as it\rcontains court records of the period. In this study, the aggregation system in the Ottoman Criminal Code, dated 1274–\r1858, which was in force at the time the newspaper was published, will be analysed. It will be compared with the case\rrecords under current Turkish positive law. The scope of the study is limited to the aggregation of offences through case\rrecords related to insult crime.

İncele - MakaleAçık Erişim2021Non-Urbanization and Social Dynamics of Violence against Women
Alacadağlı, Esmeray
Urbanization is a concept that defines the increase in the population living in cities in terms of demographics. In Turkey, the number of individuals living in urban areas increased continuously after the 1950s and reached around 93% as of today. However, urbanization also has economic and social dimensions. Because, rapidly increasing urbanization without sufficient infrastructure and demand generally leads to formation of cities with underlying unemployment, and the emergence of a social structure that is urbanized but not localized, ultimately not being able to integrate with the city. Generally, this social segment tries to survive by settling in the urban suburbs, consists largely of the masses who are not able earn their living with urban-jobs, and who ultimately cannot adopt urbanspecific behaviors, lifestyles and values. Hence, these masses try to survive in the city and with the dominant values of the places they came from, instead of integrating to the city culture, which leads to their alienation to city values, resulting alienation and potential tendencies towards violence due to increasing marginalization. This literature review-based study aims to provide solutions by analyzing the causes of the violence against women, which has recently been increased in our society, in the context of migration, urbanization and poverty phenomenon. Research results reveal the importance of nonurbanization and poverty, as being factors for violence against women.

İncele - MakaleAçık Erişim2021Causality Relationship Between Government Stability and Trade Openness: The Case of Turkey
Arı, Ari
International trade is very exposed to political risk and the existence of political risk components in a given market may cause problems in both export and import activities. Government instability is one of the political risk components that is related with trade openness. The paper examines the government stability-trade openness nexus for Turkey using Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and VECM based Granger Causality test covering the period of 1984-2016. Results have shown that there is a unidirectional causality in the long run from trade openness to government stability. Because Turkey’s production of final goods usually is based on imports, an increase in exchange rate usually floats trade openness in favor of imports. This creates foreign trade deficit. Worsening economic conditions affects the government stability. Due to the unfavorable picture and economic crises in Turkey, the average duty time of the governments established between 1990-2003 was one year. Despite this, export-led growth and highest amount of foreign direct investment within three election periods starting from 2002, enabled the individuals to grasp the importance of stability in governance. During the 2010s, Turkey struggled with the foreign trade deficit, high inflation and unemployment rates brought about by the high exchange rate, and the deteriorating economic situation caused the ministers in the cabinet and even the presidential system to change. Thus, the study concluded that trade openness may affect the policy-relevant implications and create government instability for Turkey through changes in exchange rates and depreciation of Turkish lira.

- MakaleAçık Erişim2021Comparison of Post-Tanzimat Ottoman Law and Turkish Positive Law in terms of Insult
Kizilay, Muhammed Emin
Legal systems aim to protect a person's reputation as well as their material assets. Due to the place where Islam has positioned human beings, fiqh has also revealed norms that will protect human honor. Based on these norms for centuries in the field of judiciary, the Ottoman Empire began to legislate these norms with the influence of the West. In this context, attacks on human honor were also included in the texts of the law, and the courts were asked to handle the cases within the framework of these laws. In the laws, it is seen that insult crimes are regulated in accordance with the classical Hanafi fiqh. However, in law making, fiqh was used less by time, and Western systematics was taken as a basis in the division of crime. In today's Turkish positive law, it is seen that the crime of insult, which is regulated within the crimes against honor, also follows this systematic and is influenced by the Ottoman positive law. In this study, the crime of insult will be discussed comparatively over the successive Hanafi fiqh, the laws of the Tanzimat period, the old Turkish Penal Code in some subjects and today's Turkish Penal Code laws.

İncele - MakaleAçık Erişim2021Sexual Assault Crimes in Ottoman Empire: 1869 Vakayi-i Zabtiye Newspaper Sample
Kizilay, Muhammed Emin
In the period following the Tanzimat era, innovation and change movements were experienced in Ottoman Empire. The reflection of this innovation and change in the judicial system was establishment of new courts and the fact that the authority to rule cases in certain matters of classical fiqh was given to these courts. However, it is not easy to reach the records and archives of these courts, and moreover, because the classification of the archive was not subject-based, the desired studies cannot be done theoretically. Vakayi-i Zabtiye, a newspaper that started to be published since the press became widespread due to the innovations caused by the Tanzimat Era, makes a significant contribution in overcoming this problem. This newspaper, which was published with the aim of publicizing case records, makes it easy to reach the case records of the time. In the newspaper, the records of criminal cases ruled in Istanbul courts were published as summaries. The records show that sexual assaults, from which our society still suffers, were quite common in the period when the newspaper was published. In the study, the crimes which are considered within the scope of sexual assaults in Ottoman positive law as comparatively with Turkish positive law will be analysed over the case records and the law texts referred in these texts. In this way, it will be understood that the legal parlance we have today started to emerge in times when this newspaper was published, and that after the Tanzimat Era, a change which is fast and partly desired was experienced in the judicial system.

İncele - MakaleAçık Erişim2021NEW METHODS AND PRACTICES IN THE EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION OF RELIGIOUS OFFICIALS IN GERMANY
Sözen, Hasan; Gencel Sözen, Hayriye
The subject of this study is the new methods and practices adopted in the employment and education of religious officials in Germany. Accordingly, the aim of the study is to identify the search for new methods in the employment and education of religious officials in Germany and to reveal their possibilities and limits. The study is bounded by the employment and education of religious officials in Germany. The searches for employment and education of religious officials in other countries falls outside the study area of this paper. In this study document analysis method was used to collect data. Relsted documents were read using the inductive method, accordingly coding was done and themes were created. In the research, case study design, one of the qualitative research desings and survey model were preferred. In this context, it has been tried to obtain data from as many different sources as possible about the employment and education of religious officials in Germany. The obtained data were analysed by descriptive analysis method. The data were organised, defined and explained according to the themes in accordance with the sub problems. The findings are limited to the data obtained from the sources that the researchers could identify and access on the subject and to the comments made accordingly. As a result of the research, it has been determined that most of the religious officials in Germany come from abroad, especially from Turkey, and a significant part of them work in mosques and associations affiliated to DITIB. It has been observed that the education and employment of the staff to be employed in the religious services in Germany is under the duty and responsibility of the religious communities, and this situation is guaranteed in accordance with the relevant articles of the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany. It has been determined that some religious communities have many years of practice and experience in the employment and education of religious officials. However, these educations are neither institutional nor systematic. Increasing political pressures have forced Islamic umbrella organizations to cooperate with official institutions and organizations in the employment and education of religious officials. Accordingly, while some religious communities are a part of the process in question, some are cautious about the demands of the German state. It has been determined that the German state can not directly determine the content of the theology programs, nor can it regulate qualifications and competencies that the religious officials should have and the conditions of the religious officials. For this reason, the authorities, on the one hand, develop recommendations on the training of religious officials at the academic level. On the other hand, they strive for the acceptance of these proposals by the Islamic organisations. Another result of the research is that the criticisms against the current employment and education of religious officials are grouped under three main headings. These are the continuation of the relations of the religious officials with the source countries and actors and being under their influence, the foreignness felt to the interlocutors and the understanding of religion one has. According to these criticisms, religious officials consider the interests and expectations of foreign countries/governments rather than those of Muslims in Germany, do not know the German language, culture and social structure, and generally have a conservative and anti-democratic religion and world view in relation to the countries and geographies they come from. In Germany, religious officials are not only those who carry out traditional religious services in mosques, but they are olsa understood as persons that serve many functional purposes like social, cultural, scientific, sports, etc. aims. It is only possible for religious officials to fulfill these duties and responsibilities expected of them if they have certain qualifications and competencies. At this point, common qualifications, competencies, duties and responsibilities that religious officials should have should be determined, and education programs should be developed in line with these qualifications, competencies, duties and responsibilities. In this context, it can be suggested that religious officials fulfill various duties and have features in the context of religious services both inside and outside the mosque. Religious officials in Germany should contribute to the adaptation of Muslims to Germany as much as they should contribute to the preservation of the Muslim identity of the Muslims here. It is inevitable for these religious officials to take an active role in inter-religious/intercultural dialogue studies. Religious officials are also expected to establish healthy relations with German local governments. As an extension of this, accompanying various ceremonies and celebrations and doing youth work are among the duties and responsibilities expected from religious officials. In order to be able to do all these, the precondition is that they are competent on the German language, culture and social structure. In addition, they must have the knowledge and skills to provide traditional religious services.

One of the most important problems of international migration for immigrants is the issue of social security. As a matter of fact, the people who went to work abroad from their countries either remained completely out of the system or became a part of both countries with the effect of strict rules in social security legislation. In order to solve this problem, countries are introducing bilateral social security agreements as well as domestic legal systems. The human mobility occurred between the Central Asian Turkish Republics and Turkey have increased cumulatively at over the years. As a result of this, the social security cooperation to be realized is not yet sufficient and necessary steps should be taken. Currently, there are bilateral social security agreements that have been ratified with Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. However, there are problems at the point of application.

This valuable contribution should lead researchers to seekadditional constructs to evaluate causes of family firm HR issues.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2020The Relationship Between Organizational Justice and Organizational Commitment: The Role of Organizational Identification
Battal, Fetullah
The aim of this study is to reveal the relationships between organizational justice, organizational commitment level and perceptions of organizational identification. The data used in the research were collected through 206 face-to-face questionnaires working in a public university. The collected data were analyzed with the help of the original SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 25.0 package program. The most common finding reached at the end of the study is that the organizational justice perceived by the employees is positively and significantly associated with organizational commitment and organizational identification. In addition, when the relationship between the sub-dimensions of the concepts is analyzed, it is observed that there is no significant relationship between organizational justice and continuity commitment, and at the same time, it is observed that there is no significant relationship between the emotional commitment, which is a sub-dimension of organizational justice, and continuity commitment. In addition, it has been determined that organizational identification has a partial mediating role in the relationship between organizational justice perceptions and organizational commitment behavior. Finally, in this study, the national culture of the employees is discussed and theoretical assumptions are made on the subject. Given this aspect that Turkey is a society in which the female and the feeling of moving subjects with a heavy-ness it has been revealed in previous studies. Thus, it is possible to say that the results are in harmony with the national culture.
