- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ3Are Geopolitical Risks a Permanent Driver of Global Inflation? Evidence from 1985-2024
Yıldız, Ümit
This study investigates the causal relationship between geopolitical risks and global inflation and examines whether this causal effect, if any, is persistent. To this end, the stationarity of the annual Geopolitical Risk Index (GPR) and global inflation series for the 1985–2024 period was first analyzed using the Lee and Strazicich (2003) two-break unit root test, which concluded that the series are stationary at levels. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using a stationary frequency domain causality approach, revealing a unidirectional causal relationship running from GPR to global inflation at both low and high frequencies. The causality identified at low frequencies indicates that this causal effect is permanent. The findings of the study suggest that mitigating geopolitical risks is of vital importance in the fight against global inflation.

Kotan, Gökşad Cemil; Aydemir, Şeyma; Bayraktar, Bülent
This study investigated the responses of novel adipokines (irisin, spexin, visfatin), an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress marker (GRP78), and traditional metabolic parameters (non-esterified fatty acids (NEFAs), beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHBA), urea, albumin, globulin, total cholesterol) in 360 healthy Brown Swiss dairy cattle. The animals were categorized into 18 subgroups based on pregnancy stages (early, mid, dry), lactation stages (early, mid, late), and body condition scores (BCSs). Serum analyses were performed using ELISA and spectrophotometric methods. Interactions between physiological stages and BCS were highly significant for all measured parameters (p<0.001). Results showed that mean serum levels of spexin (ranging from 14.02 to 36.04 pg mL−1) and irisin increased as pregnancy and lactation progressed. Visfatin levels exhibited a significant increase specifically during the gestation period, peaking during the dry period (24.09 ng mL−1), and maintained a significant increasing trend as lactation progressed toward the late stage (Tables 2, 4). Conversely, GRP78 (peaking at 0.46 ng mL−1), NEFA (peaking at 0.52 mmol L−1), and urea levels peaked during the dry period and early lactation, subsequently decreasing as metabolic stability was achieved. Notably, during the dry period, stress markers rose despite declining albumin and globulin levels (p<0.05). These data indicate that the dry period and early lactation are the most critical phases for metabolic and cellular stress, characterized by lower spexin and elevated GRP78 and NEFA concentrations. The later rise in irisin and visfatin, while BHBA remained within physiological limits, confirms successful metabolic adaptation (p<0.001). In conclusion, the integrated evaluation of these novel biomarkers is anticipated to provide significant contributions to protective strategies and metabolic management in dairy cattle.

Köktürk, Seda Nur; Taş Yıldırım, Esra; Yardımcı, Hülya
Purpose – This study aimed to examine the association between ultra-processed food (UPF) consumption and premenstrual syndrome (PMS) across different body mass index (BMI) categories in women. Design/methodology/approach – A total of 480 women aged 20–49 years participated in the study between May 2024 and May 2025 in 3 cities in Türkiye. PMS symptoms were assessed using the Premenstrual Syndrome Scale (PMSS), and UPF intake was evaluated according to the NOVA classification using a food frequency questionnaire. Anthropometric measurements, including height and body weight, were taken by researchers, and BMI was calculated for each participant. Findings – The mean BMI of the participants was 24.2 ± 4.9 kg/m2, with an average daily UPF intake of 858.0 ± 133.3 g. Higher UPF intake was significantly associated with increased reporting of PMS, with 7.0% higher odds among normal-weight women, 19.0% higher odds among overweight women, and 41.0% higher odds among women with obesity. Moreover, as UPF consumption increased from the lowest (Q1) to the highest quartile (Q4), the odds of experiencing PMS symptoms were 2.65 times (OR: 2.65, %95 CI: 1.52–4.61), 2.85 times (OR: 2.85, %95 CI:1.60–4.95), and 3.07 times (OR: 3.07, %95 CI: 1.71–5.49) higher, respectively (p = 0.001). Research limitations/implications – These findings underscore a significant association between UPF consumption and PMS symptoms, particularly among women with obesity. Given the high prevalence of PMS and its substantial impact on women's well-being, dietary interventions aimed at reducing UPF intake may represent a promising approach for PMS management and prevention. Originality/value – To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to examine the relationship between UPF intake and self-reported PMS presence across different BMI categories. 2026

Okur, Fatih
This study examines the relationship between inflation and interest rates in Türkiye during the 2015-2024 period, with a specific focus on the monetary policy shift implemented in September 2021. Using the ARDL model, Toda-Yamamoto causality test, and structural break analysis, the findings reveal a reversal in the inflation-interest rate relationship after the policy change. The results suggest that the observed dynamics may reflect not a temporary anomaly but a structural transformation aligned with the Neo-Fisher effect, offering critical insights into the effectiveness of monetary policy under changing regimes.

Boz, Emre; Kul, Murat
Background and Study Aim. This study aims to examine the effects of an 8-week motor imagery training program on target-oriented punch performance, motor imagery skills, and proprioceptive senses in karate athletes aged 15-17. Material and methods. The research employed an "non-equivalent control group design." A total of 31 athletes were divided into experimental (n=16) and control (n=15) groups. The experimental group participated in motor imagery sessions in addition to their routine karate training for 8 weeks, while the control group only performed standard technical training. Data were collected at four different intervals using a target-oriented punch performance test, a joint reposition test (proprioception), and a movement imagery scale. Statistical analysis included descriptive statistics, Repeated Measures ANOVA, Paired Samples t-test, and Bonferroni corrections. Results. The results indicated that while both groups showed improvements in target-oriented striking performance, the experimental group achieved significantly higher mean scores in post-test measurements compared to the control group. Regarding proprioceptive sensory measurements and movement imagery scales (both kinesthetic and visual), the experimental group demonstrated superior development, reaching scores near the maximum possible value. However, retention test measurements revealed a relative decline in shoulder joint sense and technical performance compared to the immediate post-test values. Conclusions. It was concluded that motor imagery exercises practiced in parallel with kumite training significantly enhance technical striking precision, mental imagery capacity, and deep sensory perception in karate athletes.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ1Effects of graviola oil extract on fattening performance and circadian rhythms of adipokine, cardiac and mitochondrial function markers in lambs
Kotan, Gökşad Cemil; Bayraktar, Bülent
Background: This study investigated the effects of dietary graviola (Annona muricata L.) oil extract (GOE) (supplemented at 200, 400, and 600 mg/kg) on the growth performance and circadian rhythm profiles of adipokine, cardiac, and mitochondrial function biomarkers in 48 male Anatolian Merino lambs (2.5 months old). Methods: Lambs were assigned to a control group (G0) or supplementation groups (G200, G400, G600 mg/kg) for a 60-day trial (70 days total). The study was conducted under a 12-h light/12-h dark cycle to ensure controlled environmental conditions. To analyze circadian profiles, blood samples were collected on days 0, 15, 30, 45, and 60 at four time points (07:00, 13:00, 19:00, and 01:00). Serum levels of Apelin, cTnI, BMAL1, MOTS-c, and BMCP1 were measured by ELISA. Data were analyzed using GLM Multivariate analysis (p < 0.05). Results: Key findings showed the G400 dose resulted in the most effective linear increase in live weight and live weight gain by day 60, and had a significant overall effect on live weight (p < 0.05). The G200 dose significantly improved the feed conversion ratio (p < 0.05), while feed consumption was unaffected (p > 0.05). Regarding biomarkers on day 60, the G400 dose effectively modulated BMAL1, MOTS-c, and BMCP1 (peak at 19:00). The G600 dose yielded the best results for Apelin (peak at 19:00) and cTnI (peaks at 13:00 and 07:00). Conclusions: In conclusion, GOE at a dose of 400 mg/kg (G400) not only optimizes fattening performance in Anatolian Merino lambs but also supports metabolic homeostasis by modulating adipokine levels, cardiac function, and mitochondrial biogenesis processes in a manner consistent with the circadian rhythm. These findings demonstrate that the G400 dose is a safe and effective phytogenic strategy for improving animal health and production efficiency.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ2Investigation of the Effects of Low-Temperature Thermal Treatment Applied to Graphite in Spent Lithium-Ion Anode Recycling
Kara, Adem; Temur, Hakan
As the use of lithium-ion batteries (LIB) increases rapidly, recovery of graphite, the main component of the anode, from spent batteries has become important from environmental and economic perspectives. In this study, an acid leaching step followed by thermal treatment under partial atmosphere at a relatively low calcination temperature was investigated to recover graphite from spent lithium-ion batteries. The molecular and chemical structures of the recovered graphite in all spent anode samples were investigated using FTIR, ICP-MS, XRD, SEM–EDX and TEM–EDX. It was observed that organic impurities and volatile components were largely removed after acid leaching and thermal treatment at 750 °C. In addition, it was observed that graphite layers were rearranged and the distance between the layers decreased under the effect of thermal treatment. Partial atmosphere calcination at 750 °C can be considered as a feasible method for graphite recovery, offering energy efficiency and scalability. However, in an efficient calcination, it is necessary to maintain controlled oxygen levels to prevent excessive graphite loss and to perform preliminary acid leaching to reduce metal impurities. In order to best recycle graphite in waste lithium-ion anode recovery, a balance must be achieved between temperature, energy efficiency and material recovery. Considering this balance, a calcination temperature of 750 °C appears to be preferable for recycling.

This study aims to determine the effect of reading augmented reality (AR)-enriched stories related to sharing on children’s altruistic sharing behavior. In recent years, AR applications have been increasingly utilized in early childhood education to enhance engagement and motivation; however, there is limited knowledge about their impact on children’s social and moral development. Addressing this gap, the present study focuses on how interactive, immersive storytelling environments can foster prosocial behaviors, particularly altruistic sharing, in preschool children. A total of 300 children aged 4–6 from 21 kindergarten classrooms participated in the study. The classrooms were randomly assigned to one of three groups: a group that received an AR-enriched sharing storybook, a group that received a non-AR digital sharing storybook, and a group that received a digital storybook unrelated to sharing (control group). The sharing behavior of the participating children was measured before and after the story sessions using a standardized sticker-sharing protocol. Each child was read the story individually, according to their assigned group. The difference between children’s post-story and pre-story sharing behaviors was calculated, and the sharing differences among the three groups were compared using ANOVA. As a result, it was found that the children who listened to the AR-enriched story about sharing showed a significantly greater increase in sharing behavior compared to the other two groups. These findings highlight the potential of AR-supported storybooks as effective pedagogical tools for enhancing altruistic and prosocial behaviors in early childhood education.

This study compared the antioxidant capacity, total phenolic content (TPC), phenolic composition, lipid oxidation level, and mineral profiles of extracts obtained from four wild hawthorn species (Crataegus tanacetifolia, C. orientalis subsp. orientalis, C. orientalis subsp. szovitsii, and C. monogyna) collected from northeastern Türkiye. Significant interspecific variations were observed in DPPH, FRAP, and CUPRAC assays. While C. monogyna had the highest reducing capacity and TPC, C. orientalis subsp. szovitsii had the highest DPPH activity. Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry analysis showed that catechin, epicatechin, chlorogenic acid, and quinic acid were the major phenolics, and were particularly abundant in C. monogyna. Despite having a high phenolic content, C. monogyna had the highest malondialdehyde level, indicating that phenolics alone were insufficient to fully inhibit lipid oxidation. Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry mineral analysis detected high levels of K, Mg, and P in all species. Principal component analysis effectively distinguished the species based on their antioxidant, phenolic, and mineral profiles. Overall, hawthorn fruits were confirmed as valuable sources of natural antioxidants and essential minerals.

Vitamin C equivalency, the cytotoxicity on murine macrophage cells, and the virucidal and antiviral activities of maca (Lepidium meyenii) powder on murine norovirus (MNV) as a norovirus surrogate for human as a foodborne pathogen were studied. The antioxidant capacity of the maca was determined by MTT assay as vitamin C equivalency (VCEAC). The 50% cytotoxic concentration (CC50) was calculated with the linearity of maca concentrations-cell viability. The activities of maca against the virus was determined as the 50% tissue culture infective dose with Spearman–Karber method. The VCEAC of maca linearly increased with the concentration. The non-cytotoxic concentrations of maca were measured on murine macrophage with a CC50 of 5.77 mg/mL and a CC80 of 1.28 mg/mL. As maca reduced the virus titration based on contact time in the virucidal assay in several conditions, it did not significantly inhibit MNV on three infectivity pathways of host cell at non-cytotoxic concentrations of maca. The result of this first study presented that despite its ineffective in the treatment and prophylaxis of norovirus infection, maca might be an alternative food additive and preservative against human norovirus as an important foodborne pathogen causing outbreaks worldwide. © Los autores. YÜZYIL OSMANLI SİYASET DİLİNDE DEVLET, HUKUK VE OTORİTE: KOÇİ BEY RİSALESİ’NDE KRİZİN VE İHYANIN METAFORİK TASAVVURU]
Özdemir, Gazi
Koçi Bey's Treatise, one of the fundamental texts reflecting the perception of crisis in 17th-century Ottoman political thought, constructs institutional dissolution through a normative discourse rather than an objective report. Utilizing Cognitive Metaphor Theory (CMT), this study examines how the abstract perception of crisis was built within the political language of the treatise. Through qualitative content analysis, organic and cosmic metaphors such as the "body" (beden), "rose garden" (gülşen), "cover" (libâs), "corpse" (lâşe), and "mirror" (ayna) were categorized into four thematic clusters: state structure, legal status, bureaucratic dissolution, and the restoration of authority (ihya). The findings indicate that these metaphors function not merely as aesthetic rhetorical devices, but as strategic tools that objectify the deterioration of meritocracy as an ontological corruption (fesâd). Consequently, they legitimize the refortification of central authority on Sharia-customary (şer'î-örfî) grounds. The treatise encodes socio-economic upheavals not as an empirical collapse, but as a moral illness requiring healing around the ideal of the classical order (nizâm-ı kadîm). Ultimately, this study aims to provide an interdisciplinary contribution by revealing how historical reality was structured through literary discourse within the Ottoman crisis literature (decline topos).

Aksoy, Meltem; Aksoy, Dilara Arzugül; Polat, Elif; Hopcan, Sinan; Bush, Annika
As artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly transforms educational landscapes worldwide, developing AI literacy among pre-service teachers has become increasingly crucial for effective classroom integration and responsible implementation. This comparative study examines AI literacy levels among pre-service teachers in Türkiye (Turkey officially changed its name to Türkiye in a 2022 letter to the UN, with the change taking immediate effect. See here) and Germany, addressing a critical gap in cross-cultural educational research. Using the Scale for the Assessment of Non-Experts' AI Literacy (SNAIL), we analysed data from 605 participants through correlation, ANOVA and MANOVA methods. Our findings reveal significant effects of both country and gender on AI literacy development, with German participants demonstrating higher overall literacy scores than their Turkish counterparts, particularly in critical appraisal and practical application dimensions. Conversely, Turkish participants exhibited stronger technical understanding. Across both countries, male participants consistently achieved higher AI literacy scores than females, though this gender gap was most pronounced in technical understanding. The country variable emerged as the more influential factor across all subdimensions. These results highlight the interplay between educational systems, cultural contexts and gender on AI literacy acquisition, offering valuable insights for teacher education programs seeking to prepare educators for increasingly AI-integrated learning environments.

- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ1A Hybrid Deep Learning–Fuzzy–Genetic Framework for Climate-Resilient Agricultural Investment and Resource Allocation Under Carbon Market Uncertainty
Erdogdu, Aylin; Dayi, Faruk; Yildiz, Ferah; Esmer, Yusuf; Ganji, Farshad
Climate variability, environmental uncertainty, and carbon-market dynamics increasingly challenge agricultural investment and resource allocation decisions worldwide. This study proposes an integrated hybrid decision-support framework combining Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) deep learning, Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Systems, and Genetic Algorithms to support climate-resilient agricultural investment analysis under uncertainty. The framework integrates predictive modeling, uncertainty representation, and multi-objective optimization within a unified computational architecture. The empirical analysis was conducted using agricultural, climate, and carbon-market datasets covering Europe, Asia, and Africa over the 2010–2025 period. Agricultural productivity indicators, commodity price variables, climate-risk parameters, and carbon-market data were integrated into the modeling process. LSTM models were employed to analyze temporal agricultural and climate-related dynamics, while Interval Type-2 fuzzy systems were used to represent ambiguity associated with environmental and market uncertainty. Genetic Algorithms were subsequently applied to optimize investment allocation under conflicting objectives related to profitability, sustainability, and risk. The findings suggest that the proposed hybrid framework may improve adaptive investment evaluation and optimization performance under uncertain climate conditions relative to standalone computational approaches within the scope of the analyzed datasets. The results further highlight the importance of integrating predictive analytics, uncertainty modeling, and sustainability-oriented optimization within agricultural decision-support systems. However, the framework should be interpreted as a climate-resilient decision-support architecture rather than a universally deterministic forecasting mechanism. Overall, the study contributes to the emerging literature on agricultural sustainability and climate-resilient investment by presenting a transparent and uncertainty-aware computational framework under evolving environmental and carbon-market conditions.

- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ1Big five personality, anxiety sensitivity, and Turkish L2 speaking anxiety in international students: a mediation model
Yayla, Ibrahim Erdoğan; Dombak, Kübra; Maden, Sedat; Arpaci, Ibrahim; Baloglu, Mustafa
Introduction – Second language (L2) speaking anxiety is a significant affective variable that can limit the communication processes and academic experiences of foreign language learners. Although interest in the relationship between personality traits and speaking anxiety has increased in recent years, the psychological processes through which this relationship manifests have not been sufficiently investigated. Method – The mediating role of anxiety sensitivity in the relationship between the Five-Factor Model of personality traits and L2 speaking anxiety was examined. The research is a cross-sectional, quantitative study conducted with international university students learning Turkish as a second language (N = 286; 76.6% male). The data were analyzed using bootstrap-based mediation analyses. Result – We found significant negative correlations between conscientiousness, agreeableness, extroversion, and openness to experience and L2 speaking anxiety, and a significant positive correlation with neuroticism. Mediation analyses showed that anxiety sensitivity had significant indirect effects in the relationships between all five personality dimensions and L2 speaking anxiety. Discussion – The findings suggest that both personality traits and anxiety sensitivity should be considered when interpreting Turkish L2 speaking anxiety.
- MakaleYalnız künye2026Scopus SJRQ4Global Economic Policy Uncertainty and Bitcoin: A Transient Nexus
Yıldız, Ümit
Uncertainty plays a significant role in shaping investment decisions, both directly and indirectly. In an uncertain economic environment, investors’ motivations for decision-making may vary. While some investors tend to seek safe-haven assets, others may engage in speculative behavior. Therefore, uncertainty can influence financial instruments through various mechanisms. One of these instruments is Bitcoin, which is often regarded as the “gold” of cryptocurrencies. Compared to traditional financial investment instruments, Bitcoin exhibits higher volatility and is among the primary assets that may be affected by uncertainty. However, an important question is whether this effect is temporary or per-manent. By adopting a frequency-domain causality approach, this study seeks to investigate the causal linkages between Global Economic Policy Uncertainty (GEPU) and Bitcoin price movements. In this context, the causal nexus between GEPU and BTC prices is examined for the entire period and for different frequencies. Although the study's findings show no causal nexus between the variables over the entire period, the analyses for the short, medi-um, and long run indicate a causal relationship from GEPU to BTC in the medium run. Accordingly, GEPU can be considered one of the factors affecting BTC price; however, its impact does not appear to be persistent.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ1Chemical composition acaricidal activity and honeybee safety of essential oils from Origanum acutidens, Satureja hortensis, and Juniperus communis against Varroa destructor
Erdoğan, Yaşar
Varroa destructor is a destructive ectoparasite of honeybees (Apis mellifera). This study investigates the chemical composition and bioactivity of essential oils obtained from three medicinal plants (Origanum acutidens, Satureja hortensis, and Juniperus communis). The chemical components of the essential oils were determined by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). These oils were evaluated for their acaricidal, repellent, and insecticidal activities against V. destructor, as well as their lethal effects against honeybee larvae. The results revealed that the essential oils of O. acutidens (LC50: 2.18, LC90: 6.07 µL/L) and S. hortensis (LC50: 1.79, LC90: 5.77 µL/L) exhibited strong acaricidal effects, while those of J. communis (LC50: 3.75, LC90: 4.16 µL/L) exhibited moderate activity. S. hortensis showed the highest repellent effect against V. destructor (ED50: 0.44, ED90: 1.25 µL/L), followed by O. acutidens (ED50: 0.58, ED90: 4.22 µL/L) and J. communis (ED50: 0.87, ED90: 46.3 µL/L). Furthermore, the larval mortality rates remained below 5% in all treatments, indicating negligible toxicity to honeybee larvae. Overall, this study highlights for the first time the comparative acaricidal and repellent efficacy of these three essential oils under identical experimental conditions, emphasising their potential as natural and environmentally friendly alternatives for controlling V. destructor. Further research is needed to optimise application methods and evaluate long-term effects under field conditions.

This study aimed to examine the e-sports attitudes of prospective physical education and sports teachers. A total of 304 participants, including 154 (50.7%) females and 150 (49.3%) males, with a mean age of X ̄ = 21.17±2.10, studying in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching at three different state universities, were included in the study. A Personal Information Form developed by the researchers and the "E-Sports Attitude Scale" were used to assess e-sports attitudes. According to the study results, a statistically significant difference was found in mean e-sports attitude scores according to the gender variable (p<0.05). It was determined that there were no statistically significant differences in mean e-sports attitude scores according to class level (p>0.05). However, statistically significant differences were observed in mean e-sports attitude scores based on the duration of gameplay (p<0.05). In conclusion, it was found that males exhibited more positive attitudes toward e-sports, grade level did not significantly affect e-sports attitudes, and participants' attitudes toward e-sports became more positive as gameplay duration increased. Future studies may consider exploring other demographic factors influencing e-sports attitudes, which are expected to contribute further to the literature.

Erdoğan, Yaşar; Erdoğan, Ümmügülsüm
Aim of study: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of a phenolic-standardized flower extract from Crataegus orientalis Pall. on honey bee colony development and end-of-season honey yield under field conditions, and to assess its lasting colony-level effects. Area of study: The study was conducted during the 2025 beekeeping season at the apiary of Bayburt University Beekeeping Application and Research Center, located in northeastern Türkiye. Material and methods: Twenty-four initially balanced honey bee (Apis mellifera L.) colonies were randomly assigned to four groups (n = 6): a control group receiving 1:1 sucrose:water syrup and three treatment groups receiving 50, 100, or 200 mg GAE L⁻¹ of phenolic-standardized Crataegus orientalis flower extract. Colonies were fed daily for 21 days in early spring and monitored at seven time points (T0–T6) from mid-May to late August. Colony development was assessed using brood area (cm²) and number of frames with bees, while hive-front dead bees were recorded as a safety indicator. Net honey yield was determined at the end of the season. Main results: Daily syrup consumption did not differ among groups (P > 0.05), whereas daily phenolic intake increased in a dose-dependent manner (P < 0.05). Brood area increased significantly with dose and was generally higher in the high-dose group than in the control group throughout the season (P < 0.001). No significant differences were observed among groups for seasonal averages of frames with bees or mortality index; however, a significant treatment × time interaction was detected for frames with bees. Net honey yield was significantly higher in the high-dose group compared to the control group (P < 0.01). Research highlights: Short-term early spring supplementation with phenolic-standardized Crataegus orientalis flower extract supported brood development without increasing adult bee mortality. This early developmental advantage resulted in a measurable improvement in end-of-season honey yield under field conditions.

Koroglu Kaba, Nagihan; Apaydin, Emine; Kulakaç, Nurşen
Aim: This study was conducted to examine how nurses experience discriminatory behaviors in the workplace and how these experiences are reflected in their career development. Background: Although discrimination constitutes a significant challenge in nurses’ professional lives, qualitative research examining how these experiences influence their career development processes remains limited. Methods: This phenomenological study was conducted with nurses working in a public hospital in Turkey. Semi-structured individual interviews were conducted with 21 nurses during the study. Participants were selected from various clinical settings through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Colaizzi's seven-step content analysis method. Ethics committee approval was obtained for this study. The Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research checklist guided the study reporting. Results: Five main themes with seven subthemes emerged: (1) Discrimination Experiences (types of discrimination, sources of discrimination, emotions/feelings), (2) Reporting Behavior (decision and consequences of reporting, reasons for not reporting), (3) Impact of Discrimination on Career Development (supportive effect, hindering effect), (4) Coping Strategies, and (5) Suggestions for Preventing Discrimination. Discussion: These themes highlight that discrimination is a multidimensional phenomenon and that holistic approaches must be developed at emotional, structural, professional, and institutional levels to cope with it. Conclusion: For some nurses, discrimination acts as a transformative process that supports career development, while for others, it represents a significant barrier to professional advancement. Implications for Nursing/Nursing Policy: The findings highlight the need to strengthen reporting mechanisms, establish a supportive work culture, and implement inclusive institutional policies that promote career development.
