Erdogan, Ummugulsum; Erdoğan, Yaşar
Küresel iklim değişikliğine bağlı artan sıcaklıklar, arı aktivite desenlerini ve bitkilerin tozlaşma verimliliğini önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Bu çalışmada, ortam sıcaklığının çilek (Fragaria × ananassa) tarlalarındaki bal arıları (Apis mellifera) ve yabani polinatör arı türlerinin aktivitesi üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Gözlemler, 12-22°C arasındaki sıcaklık aralıklarında farklı arı türlerinin çiçekleri ziyaret sıklıkları kaydedilerek yapılmıştır. Bulgular, A. mellifera'nın tüm sıcaklık aralıklarında gözlendiğini ve aktivite seviyesinin sıcaklık arttıkça önemli ölçüde arttığını göstermektedir.

The study was carried out under salt-stress conditions, and three non-microbial commercial organic fertilizers purchased from Humintech GmbH (Grevenbroich, Germany) were applied to the soil for strawberry plants. The three promoters were Fulvagra®, based on fulvic acid, Liqhumus®, based on humic acid, and Microsense Root®, also based on humic acid. Treatment with Fulvagra® resulted in a remarkable 69.90% increase in average fruit weight and a 39.52% increase in yield in strawberry plants. These improvements remained significant when combined with plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), resulting in a 61.81% increase in fruit weight and a 45.21% increase in yield. Liqhumus® treatment resulted in a significant 49.95% increase in fruit weight and a 39.30% increase in fruit yield. The introduction of PGPR further enhanced these effects by increasing fruit weight by 87.70% and yield by 63.84%. The Microsense Root® treatment showed 31.07 and 61.87% improvements for the respective parameters. In conjunction with this treatment, the use of PGPR produced the most significant results, with increases of 121.14 and 65.37% for respective parameters. These results indicate that the combined use of non-microbial commercial organic fertilizers with PGPR leads to higher efficiency and is promising for sustainable agricultural practices, particularly in improving the resistance of strawberry plants to salt-induced stress.

Walnuts (Juglans regia L.) are a good source of dietary minerals and contain significant amounts of potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron. In Turkey, walnut orchards are found in the coruh Valley and are generally composed of local varieties. Since chemical and physical properties of walnuts are very important in determining their quality, in this study, nut and kernel characteristics, fatty acid composition and phenolic composition were determined for 26 walnut genotypes collected from the valley. Total fat content was found to be between 53.75% and 71.43%, while the crude protein amount ranged from 10.21% to 20.71%. Total carbohydrates were calculated between 14.31-27.52% and ash content was found to be between 1.64% and 3.32%. The oleic acid content and linoleic acid content ranged from 18.34 to 25.58% and 37.09% to 87.51%, respectively. The linolenic acid content was determined between 5.52% and 11.03%. Our study showed that, differences in phenolic component, crude protein and fatty acid content of walnuts were caused by different growing conditions. Genotypes have a rich and stable structure in terms of fruit quality parameters, minerals, organic acids, phenolic composition, antioxidant and fatty acids amounts and amino acids. In other words, these characteristics did not show much variation in genotypes grown in the Valley. However, there was a great variation in hormone levels among genotypes. In terms of the parameters examined, GN2, GNI, ((NIS, GN24, GN25 and GN26 genotypes were determined as rich and stable genotypes.

Erdogan, Ummugulsum; Talay, Rabia
Mankind needs air and water to sustain life also needs food at the same rate. The societies that met this need by natural farming method have changed to the conventional farming method which provides high productivity due to the increase in the world population and parallel to the increase in food need. This method, which carries various risks (synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, etc.), has caused different views among scientists. Some scientists argue that conventional agriculture is risky. Therefore, organic agriculture emerged as an alternative to conventional agriculture. With the awareness of consumers nowadays consumers began to question food for the health. In this sense, food quality and sensory quality of food have gained importance. The quality of all foods from herbal (fruits/vegetables, cereals etc.) and animal (meat, milk etc.) origin is affected by the agricultural method. In this study, the effects of two different agricultural methods on foods and their effects on nutritional and sensory quality will be given.

The intestinal bacterial populations constitute the anaerobic bacteria Clostridium, Bifidobacterium, Peptococcus, Eubacterium, Fusobacterium, Peptostreptococcus, Bacteroides, E. coli, Lactobacillus, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Bacillus species. It is known that the bacteria that make up this population are affecting human health. Therefore, any change in the population causes various diseases (obesity, diabetes, hypertension etc.). Prebiotics are needed to restore this disrupted balance and to protect it from diseases. A diet made from natural foods such as fruit and vegetables plays an important role in the regulation of intestinal microbiota. Many fruit and vegetables rich in phenolic components such as corn, rosehip, trabzon, tomato, carrot, soybean, walnut, grapefruit are important in this sense. The purpose of this compilation is; phenolic compounds, general microbiota and intestinal microbiota and explain the effect of intestinal microbiota on phenolic compounds and phenolic compounds on intestinal microbiota.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of seven nitrogen (N2)-fixing and/or phosphorus (P)-solubilizing and siderophore-producing microorganism based bio-fertilizers in single and triple strain combinations isolated from the acidic rhizospheric soil of native tea, grapevine, and wild red raspberries. As a result of this study, bacterial efficiency was found to be variable and depended on the bacterial strains and evaluated growth parameters. Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) has improved macro- and micro-nutrient concentrations in grapevine leaves, and stimulated plant growth. Triple inoculation and single inoculation based bio fertilizers were found to stimulate overall plant growth, including shoot and leaf weight, main shoot length, leaf ground index, chlorophyll, nitrogen, zinc and iron content of grapevine cv ‘Italy’. Bio-fertilizers increased the nutrients such as nitrogen, zinc and iron concentrations and consequently increased the chlorophyll content of the leaves.

Dry bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is a widely grown and important food legume which is a major source of mineral nutrition. The present study digs in determining differences in nutrients, organic-amino acid and hormone concentrations of Ispir bean genotypes under different land use conditions. The study sites (32 locations) were identified according to the stratified sampling method in the Ispir district, Erzurum, Turkey, under consideration of bean-cultivated lands and the number of villages. The seed weights were higher for genotype no. 4 (137.5 g) than for genotype no. 14 (131.5 g) and following by all other genotypes. Moreover, values for crude protein content were significantly higher for genotype no. 14 (263.1 g/kg) in comparison to genotype no. 4 (256.9 g/kg) and other genotypes. Therefore, it is concluded that land use impacts seed weight, nutrient, crude protein, amino acid, organic acid and hormone contents of Ispir dry bean. Land use can result economic improvements in crop yields and yield components. Dry bean seed weights were impacted by other crop yield components such as amino acid, organic acid and hormone contents of dry bean.
