Özet

This study examined the relationship between economic growth and human development with annual data for 1990-2021 for the country group consisting of Türkiye, Argentina, Qatar, Egypt, and Pakistan, which have various economic vulnerabilities, and made policy recommendations based on the results. The study, which used panel data analysis, employed GDP per capita as a representative of economic growth and the "Human Development Index" created by UNDP as an indicator of human development and established two models. Within the scope of panel data analysis, the cross-sectional dependence, homogeneity, and stationarity tests were conducted for variables and established models. Afterward, the models established were analyzed with the cointegration and causality tests. The analysis found a mutual relationship between economic growth and human development in the New Fragile Five countries between 1990 and 2021.
