Özet

Today, some related research on Turkish Koran translation manuscripts gave rise to the thoughts that first Turkish translation of Koran was made by the Turkish members of the board who made the first Farsi translation of Koran and this Turkish manuscript was lost or destroyed in time due to reasons unknown. Rylands, British Museum or. 9515 and TİEM 73 are significant among Turkish Koran translations which are thought to have been inspired by the first translation mentioned above. Moreover, Hekimoğlu and Anonim Tefsir texts are also considered to be similar to this first translation. The Koran translations written in Oghuz language in the Old Anatolian Period is also thought to have been copied from certain translations. MK 06 Mil Yz B 502 coded manuscript, determined by us, is also considered to have been written or copied towards the end of the Old Anatolian Turkish Period. In the manuscript, partial comment method was employed. Although this manuscript has similarities with especially in Bursa GK No: 1 dated as H 804/M 1401 manuscript which is one of the pre determined manuscripts in terms of lexical matchings; it is hard to propose that the two manuscripts are copied from the same source. That is to say, in the study we conducted on he linguistic features of the manuscript, noun and verb inflection differences, nearly no use of archaic words and affixes and even translator’s personal preferences on the text strenghen this statement. These preferences employed through Turkish Word groups, possesive constructions and rarely quotes, distinguish this manuscript from other Koran translations. Additionally, the manuscript is valuable regarding syntax as Arabic equivalents can be found and ortographic differences of Turkish Word groups can be seen. In the ortography of the text, beside the effect of Old Uyghur Turkish and Arabic-Persian written tradition, the effects of spoken language can also be observed. Some other structural differences in the text are tense shifts in verb inflections and succesive voice affixes adapted to Arabic patterns. The Koran translations bear significance to follow the development and maturation of Turkish language, to learn how new Islamic concepts were refined by the old Turkish religions and Turkish culture. Besides, as each translation inhabits archaic features and structures with the preferences of authors or copyist,Koran translations give invaluable information regarding vocabulary
