The Examination of Free Activities Course's Goals According to the Teachers' View

This research is a descriptive study-a type of general survey- to determineif free activities courses are offered by the instructions of Ministry ofEducation, teachers' belief about the degree to which this course serves itsaim and the relationship between this belief with various variables. 300primary school teachers who work in Ağrı were the sample of this researchchosen by using random non-portional sampling. In this research, FreeActivities Course Evaluation Questionnaire developed by one of theresearchers was used. Although catch up education is forbidden, it wasrecognized that the great majority of primary school teachers use freeactivities course to complete missing gain from other courses, forpreparation of examination and for practice exams. A large amount ofprimary teachers indicated negative views about the efficiency degree ofthe course. Meaningful relationships are determined between the degree ofserving course purpose and teachers' experience and educational status.
