B-maximal commutators, commutators of B-singular integral operators and B-Riesz potentials on B-Morrey spaces

Hasanov, Javanshir J.; Ayazoglu, Rabil; Bayrakci, Simten

    In this article, we consider the Laplace-Bessel differential operator Δ B k, n = a' i = 1 k a, 2 a, x i 2 + γ i x i a, a, x i + a' i = k + 1 n a, 2 a, x i 2, γ 1 > 0,γ k > 0. {\Delta }{{B}{k,n}}=\mathop{\sum }\limits{i=1}{k}\left(\frac{{\partial }{2}}{\partial {x}{i}{2}}+\frac{{\gamma }{i}}{{x}{i}}\frac{\partial }{\partial {x}{i}}\right)+\mathop{\sum }\limits{i=k+1}{n}\frac{{\partial }{2}}{\partial {x}{i}{2}},{\gamma }{1}\gt 0,\ldots,{\gamma }{k}\gt 0. Furthermore, we define B-maximal commutators, commutators of B-singular integral operators and B-Riesz potentials associated with the Laplace-Bessel differential operator. Moreover, we also obtain the boundedness of the B-maximal commutator M b, γ {M}{b,\gamma } and the commutator [ b, A γ[ {[}b,{A}{\gamma }] of the B-singular integral operator and Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev-type theorem for the commutator [ b, I α, γ[ {[}b,{I}{\alpha,\gamma }] of the B-Riesz potential on B-Morrey spaces L p, λ, γ {L}{p,\lambda,\gamma }, when b â BMO γ b\in {\text{BMO}}{\gamma }.

Investigation of Stress Corrosion Cracking Behaviour of Mg-Al-Zn Alloys in Different pH Environments by SSRT Method

    Catar, Recep; Altun, Hikmet

In this study, stress corrosion behaviors of AZ31, AZ61 and AZ91 Mg alloys which contain different amounts of Al were investigated under acidic, basic and neutral environments having chloride ions using Slow Strain Rate Test (SSRT) method. Stress corrosion indexes (ISCC), ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation of AZ31, AZ61, and AZ91 Mg alloys were determined and compared. Slow strain rate test showed that three Mg alloys in basic environments were the least stress corrosion susceptible, while the most stress corrosion susceptible occurred in acidic environments. Also, it has been shown that the stress corrosion indexes of AZ91 Mg alloys are less than AZ31 and AZ61 Mg alloys in all environments. UTS and elongation of AZ61 Mg alloys were higher than those of AZ31 and AZ91 in all media. The fracture of surface images also examined in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and both intergranular stress corrosion cracking (IGSCC) and transgranular stress corrosion cracking (TGSCC) were observed in all three alloys.

Optimization of Adsorption Parameters for Ultra-Fine Calcite Using a Box-Behnken Experimental Design

Uçurum, Metin; Özdemir, Akln; Teke, Çaǧatay; Serencam, Hüseyin; Ipek, Mümtaz

Removal of heavy metals from wastewater is a significant issue because it prevents environmental-based concerns and impacts a large number of diseases and disorders. Many low-cost natural materials have been offered recently as possible precursors to commercial synthetic adsorbents. Ultra-fine calcite, one of these natural materials, has been investigated as a potential commercial adsorbent. Response surface designs are effective experimental techniques to investigate the heavy metal adsorption capacity of ultra-fine calcite. In the present study, one such response surface design, Box-Behnken, is used in order to optimize adsorption factors, such as pH level, initial metal concentration, stirring rate and adsorption time, and to determine the heavy metal capacity of this adsorbent. Our results show that the proposed methodology is an effective approach to optimizing the adsorption process and to maximize the heavy metal capacity.

Free vibration analysis of fiber metal laminated straight beam

Maraş, Sinan; Yaman, Mustafa; Sansveren, Mehmet Fatih; Reyhan, Sina Karimpour

In recent years, studies on the development of new and advanced composite materials have been increasing. Among these new technological products, Fiber Metal Laminates (FML), and hybrid structures made of aluminium, carbon, glass or aramid fiber, are preferred especially in the aircraft industry due to their high performance. Therefore, free vibration analysis is necessary for the design process of such structures. In this study, the vibration characteristics of FML for clamped-free boundary conditions were investigated experimentally and numerically. Firstly, numerical results were obtained using Finite Element Method (FEM) and then these results were compared with the experimental results. It was seen that the numerical results were in good agreement with the experimental results. As the theoretical model was justified, the effects of various parameters such as number of layers, fiber orientations, and aluminium layer thickness on the in-plane vibration characteristics of the FML straight beam were analysed using FEM. Thus, most important parameters affecting the vibration characteristics of the hybrid structures were determined.
