In this study, it has been aimed to put forward the relationship between primary energy consumption and financial development for the period 1985-2015 of Argentina, China, South Korea, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico and Turkey. It has been concluded that, there is a long-term relationship between primary energy consumption and the ratio of assets of deposit banks to GDP in the study. Furthermore, it has been determined that there is a one-way causality relationship from the primary energy consumption to the ratio of deposit bank assets to GDP and the ratio of the local credit provided to the private sector to GDP.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 1992:1-2015:12 döneminde gerçekleşen petrol fiyatlarındaki değişimlerin Türkiye'nin cari açığı üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaçla, aylık brent petrol fiyatları ve Türkiye'nin aylık cari açık verileri ARCH-GARCH modelleriyle analiz edilmiştir. Bu modellerden elde edilen sonuçlara göre, petrol fiyatlarının cari açık üzerinde azaltıcı bir etkisi olduğu ve yapısal kırılmaların cari açık üzerinde herhangi anlamlı bir etkisi olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
