Edebiyat, toplumsal hayatta meydana gelen çeşitli olaylara şahitlik ederek gelecek nesillere kültürel aktarımda bulunmaktadır. Buradan hareketle şair ve yazarlar, sosyal hayatta meydana gelen hemen hemen her olayı eserlerine konu edinmektedirler. İslam tarihinde kuşkusuz önemli bir rolü olan, bir kırılma ya da dönüm noktası olarak ifade edilebilecek olaylardan biri de Hz. Hüseyin’in şehit edilmesi sürecine giden ve daha sonra meydana gelen olaylara zemin hazırlayan Kerbela Vakası’dır. Her şair ve yazarın gönlüne dokunan bu olay Arap, Fars ve Türk edebiyatında kendisine yer edinmiş; Hz. Hüseyin’in Kerbela’da yaşadığı olayların anlatıldığı manzum, mensur ya da manzum-mensur karışık birçok eser kaleme alınmasına vesile olmuştur. Kerbela’da yaşananlara eserinde yer veren araştırmacı, şair ve yazarlardan biri de İbrahim Aczî Kendi’dir. Aczî, Kerbela’da yaşanan süreci, bu süreçten duyduğu rahatsızlığı ve üzüntüsünü dile getirmek amacıyla Şehâdet-i Hazret-i Hüseyin adlı bir eser kaleme almıştır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle Aczî’nin hayatı hakkında kısaca bilgi verilecek, akabinde mezkûr eseri tanıtılacaktır. Şekil ve muhtevasıyla ilgili genel bir değerlendirme yapıldıktan sonra söz konusu eserin, çeviri yazılı metnine yer verilecektir.

In this study, which we have done about Terceme-i Şir‘atü’l-İslam, which is a verse translation of \rthe book of catechism and etiquette called Şir‘atü’l-İslâm ilâ Dâri’s-Selâm, which was loved and translated by the \rOttoman ulema, countless we tried to give information about the place of the work in the world of literature and \rIslam. In our study, which we have done according to the translation and analysis methods of Classical Turkish \rLiterature, the work has been prepared in forty-eight chapters by subjecting it to the same classification as the source \rbook, Şir‘atü’l-İslâm ilâ Dâri’s-Selâm, and that these chapters are prepared Hz. Muhammed. We have determined \rthat it starts with following the Sunnah of the Prophet and ends with the chapter on patient rights and procedures for \rpatient visits. We have witnessed that there are three copies of the work, one of which is a lithograph and the other is \ra handwritten copy, and two of the copies are in domestic libraries and one is in libraries abroad. As aresult of the \rexamination, we saw that the copy we brought from abroa was a darft of the auther’s line and we shaped our work \raccordingly. In our study, which included the analysis of Terceme-i Şir‘atü’l-İslâm in terms of language, form and \rcontent, we came to the conclusion that the work is a religious, sufistic, moral mesnevi.
