Çalışmada, modern dönemde ortaya çıkan sosyal, siyasal ve fikrî meselelerin bu iki müfessirin Kur'an yorumlarına nasıl yansıdığı ele alınmıştır. Konu, çağdaş tefsir anlayışını anlamak açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Seyyid Kutub ve Mevdûdî'nin tefsirlerinde güncel tefsir problemlerine yaklaşımlarını ortaya koymak ve bu yaklaşımları karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirmektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini çağdaş Kur'an tefsirleri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem olarak Seyyid Kutub'un Fî Zılâli'l-Kur'ân adlı tefsiri ile Mevdûdî'nin Tefhîmu'l-Kur'ân adlı eseri seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın veri toplama aracı doküman incelemesidir. Veriler, ilgili tefsir metinlerinin incelenmesi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Veri çözümleme sürecinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, her iki müfessirin de Kur'an'ı yaşanan hayata rehber olarak gördüğü tespit edilmiştir. Seyyid Kutub'un tefsirinde daha çok toplumsal adalet, hâkimiyet ve cahiliye kavramları öne çıkmaktadır. Mevdûdî'nin tefsirinde ise sistemli düşünce, siyasal yapı ve İslam toplumunun inşası konuları ön plandadır. Her iki müfessirin de güncel problemlere Kur'an merkezli çözümler üretmeye çalıştığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.This thesis examines contemporary tafsir problems in the Qur'anic commentaries of Sayyid Qutb and Abul A'la al-Mawdudi. The study focuses on how modern social, political, and intellectual issues are reflected in the Qur'an interpretations of these two scholars. The topic is important for understanding contemporary approaches to tafsir. The aim of this thesis is to reveal the approaches of Sayyid Qutb and Mawdudi to contemporary tafsir problems and to evaluate these approaches comparatively. The study uses a qualitative research method. The universe of the study consists of contemporary Qur'anic commentaries. As the sample, Sayyid Qutb's Fi Zilal al-Qur'an and Mawdudi's Tafhim al-Qur'an were selected. Document analysis was used as the data collection method. The data were obtained by examining the relevant tafsir texts. Descriptive analysis was used as the data analysis technique. As a result of the study, it was found that both scholars view the Qur'an as a guide for real life. In Sayyid Qutb's tafsir, concepts such as social justice, sovereignty, and jahiliyyah are emphasized. In Mawdudi's tafsir, systematic thinking, political structure, and the construction of an Islamic society are more prominent.
