Compound verbs in Divan-ı MesabihAkboğa, GökçenurEdebiyatDil ve Dil BilimEdebi Teori ve EleştiriDivan-ı Mesabih, which belongs to Kuloğlu Şeyh Hacı İlyas, is a work belonging to the Classical Ottoman Turkish period. The completion date of the work, which is understood to be the copy of the author, is given as 1036 Hijri (M. 1627). There is not much information about Kuloğlu Şeyh Hacı İlyas, whose name is not mentioned in the biographies of the poets. It is deduced from his poems that he lived during the reign of Murad IV and that he was one of the caliphs of Alim Sinan Efendi, one of the sheikhs of the Halveti order. His works are religious. It is understood from his poems that he mastered Arabic and Persian. Apart from this, there is no definite information about his place of residence, family, birth and death years. In this study, the compound verbs in Divan-ı Mesabih, which was written in the Classical Ottoman Turkish period, will be determined and evaluated. There is a classification confusion about the compound verb in the field of Turkish Language. Different classifications have been made in this regard. The most basic difference is whether compound verbs formed by combining a noun and an auxiliary verb and compound verbs that are fused in meaning are examined under a single title. Compound verbs are used to make nouns of foreign origin in Turkish.
