People who have problems between themselves find solutions to their issues through the reconcilation, the mediation, the peace/sulh, the arbitration/consolidation and the court of law. In this paper mediation is pointed out as one of the methods of the conflict resolution. Concept analysis regarding to the meditaon is being made and also the comparision between sulh/peace and other conflict resolution methods are being done. In order to provide adequate ground for the mediation, the Quran and the prophet's practices are examined. Morever, the application of the mediation in the contemprary world is discussed. The procces of the mediation and the qualifications that are asked from the mediator are explained.
