Pollen morphology of 20 species of the Veronica were investigated using Light Microscope (LM) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Different palyno-morphological features including; pollen ornamentation, colpus ornamentation, size of polar and equatorial diameter, P/E ratio, exine thickness, and size of colpus were observed. The study revealed that the pollen grains of the studied Veronica species were in all cases tricolpate, radially symmetrical and isopolar, oblate-spheroidal or prolate spheroidal. The surface pattern of the exine varied from striato-reticulate and striatomicroreticulate to microechinate-perforate, which allows recognition of three homonymous types of pollen grains.</dc:description><dc:publisher>Magnolia Press</dc:publisher><dc:date>2022</dc:date><dc:type>Article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/r/bayburt/12186</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>https://doi.org/10.11646/phytotaxa.532.1.2</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>1179-3155</dc:identifier><dc:language>en</dc:language><dc:relation>Phytotaxa</dc:relation><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights><dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://bayburt-rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/tr/items/bayburt/12186</dc:identifier></oai_dc:dc></metadata></record></GetRecord></OAI-PMH>
